Our History
O’Crualaoi, the family butchers in Ballincollig, Cork have been operating since 1957. The business has grown and expanded over the years to become one of the busiest and well known butcher shops in Ireland. Check out our photogallery to take a trip down memory lane.
Our Team
O’Crualaoi Butchers & Delicatessen is owned and run by us the O’Crualaoi Family. Established orginially by our father Kevin O'Crualaoi and today the business is proudly run by his son Micheal O'Crualaoi for the past thirty years. Our Managing Director Francis Twohig trained as a butcher in the original shop over 24 years ago . Noel Mc Namara - our Master Butcher, runs the Ballincollig Butcher shop and oversees the quality of the meat in all our shops.
Over the years a number of skilled personnel have joined our team. We have the luxury of having our own in-house team of chefs and a Product Development Chef Joe Geoghegan to ensure we deliver the high quality food our customers have come to expect. Our passion for excellence, the continuation of our core management along with a wealth of experience in the Food Industry is what makes O’Crualaoi’s the vibrant and progressive company it is today.
In 1995 we opened a Delicatessen shop with its own in-house kitchen to meet the demands from our customers for “Real Food”. This Delicatessen has now grown and expanded over the years winning numerous awards including Bridgestone's 'Best Delicatessen'. In 2007 our Butcher & Delicatessen shop in Fermoy opened followed by our Butcher Shop in Wilton Shopping Centre in 2009. We are excited to announce the opening of our next shop in Carrigaline - due to be completed Autumn 2010.
